A people-focused activity plan
“To generate traffic, our neighbours’ expectations must be understood. That’s why we develop tools that make them want to come back over and over again.”

The project
Nhood manages 47 shopping centres for Ceetrus in Italy. Our missions include ensuring footfall. To achieve that goal, we continuously study the needs of those around us and think about services that can help them on a daily basis. We develop tailor-made activity plans that give us roots in local life. They’re always in tune with social issues or peak shopping times! -
We listen to our neighbours and look after our customers in and outside of our shopping centres. That’s why during the pandemic we created services to help them keep psychologically and physically fit. With Mind Care, we showed videos made in partnership with the “Positive Think” association and allowed people to book a coaching session. They were viewed nearly 60,000 times on the Facebook and Instagram pages of 8 shopping centres. We also helped our community’s members stay physically active, even during the lockdown, with the Cross Cardio Center Project, a filmed training programme designed with Jairo Junior Trainer and shown on the social media sites of 21 shopping centres.
We make sure we’re always reachable and at our customers’ service to enhance their experience in our shopping centres. In partnership with AI expert LifeData, we developed an assistant to guide the Rescaldina Shopping Center’s customers. On the website, social media, Google Messages or WhatsApp, they can plan their trips to the shopping centre and optimise their experience once they get there. At Porte di Sassari, we launched SoonEat, an app (that doesn’t need to be downloaded) to optimise lunch breaks. Shoppers can place a single order at several restaurants and pick it up at the same time. This makes social get-togethers that much easier !
We aim for visibility at the slightest request. That’s why we integrated a solution into the websites of 12 shopping centres. The goal? To improve the SEO rankings of all the site’s pages so that they match Internet searches. A Store Locator directs shoppers to the nearest retailer. In 6 months, we boosted traffic to our websites by 96% and to stores by 20%.
Our customers are our best ambassadors, especially when they want to give gifts! So we launched a Gift Card programme at 14 shopping centres. Accessible to everyone and valid at all the shopping centre’s stores, the cards make the perfect gift. You can’t go wrong! They can be used for business gifts, too! And they work: over 20,000 were sold in one year!

How can a shopping centre help to improve a sense of local community?
