La Maillerie | from a brownfield to a new business hub

   

We wanted it to be mixed, creating 700 housing units, 16 000 m² of offices, 8 000 m² shops and services and a place where everyone can feel fulfilled and form relationships.


We wanted it to be inclusive and social, setting aside areas for every generation (nursery, school, student residence and seniors’ home) and facilitating access to home ownership with our “personalised housing” and “lifetime ownership” programmes.


We wanted it to be responsible and sustainable, giving building materials a second life, creating green spaces that respect biodiversity and encouraging soft mobility.


We wanted it to be vibrant and bustling, experimenting with new ways of living together: a pub, urban vegetable garden, repair café, fun events, etc.
