This programme embodies a strategic reorganisation of the retail offering, in which Nhood acts as the overall coordinator, balancing the enhancement of commercial appeal with the development of new uses.

Physical retail is currently undergoing a profound transformation: the traditional hypermarket model is evolving, leading to a reduction in certain retail spaces.

These spaces, now available, present a major opportunity to rethink the commercial balance of sites and accelerate their transformation.

In this context, Ceetrus has already acquired, as a property company, approximately 60,000 m² of retail space vacated by the downsizing of Auchan hypermarkets, located in sites already owned by Ceetrus in France. These acquisitions form part of Ceetrus’s property strategy, which aims to sustainably strengthen the performance and attractiveness of ‘Core Portfolio’ assets – that is, those that are leaders or have the potential to become so within their catchment areas. This plan helps to accelerate the transformation and enhance the quality of its portfolio.

In line with the strategy of its client, the property company Ceetrus, Nhood is deploying its integrated global operator model to manage the transformation of Aushopping centres. Its mission: to turn this freed-up space into a lever for creating property, commercial and usage value, by combining technical expertise, strategic vision and execution capability.

“The transformation of shopping centres is part of a broader evolution of the model, which is moving towards more mixed-use and open spaces, in line with the new dynamics of retail. Our ambition is to turn these spaces into genuine living spaces that are more attractive, more useful and better aligned with contemporary expectations, says Sébastien Beurel, Director of Asset Transformation at Nhood.

The challenge now is to enhance the value of assets through the use they generate. Beyond the purely commercial dimension, these projects enable us to:

  • Enhance the economic appeal of the sites
  • Create new development opportunities for retailers
  • Integrate uses that complement retail
  • Offer visitors fresh experiences

Thanks to its comprehensive and integrated approach, Nhood confirms its ability to support its clients in the transformation of their assets, making each project an opportunity for sustainable regeneration and the creation of shared value.
